Apps Just for Fun!

As I was looking for some new fun apps for free, I found a few interesting ones that seem to have got a lot of press when they were released several months ago. I had not heard of either one before I researched information for this post.

When I searched for free application games in Google, I was trying to locate old arcade games from the 80’s like Space Invaders, Pac Man, Asteroids, and others. Several of these games offer the “lite” version which are free. Hopefully you’ll play the game, get hooked, and buy the full version. Smart marketing, but standard software marketing tactics. The full versions varies in cost starting at $1.00 and up to $10.00+. I was amazed at how may freeapps you can find just by typing it in the search box. You can spend hours looking without realizing it. Here’s the Apple Appstore Games. What a time-suck if you’re not careful.

Below I listed 2 that are off-center a little depending on your level of humor. I showed both to my friends and they downloaded them right away. It’s difficult to describe them by writing about each one so I located the videos and posted them here so you can see them for yourself. These apps are harmless, fun and can make you and friends laugh. Just when you’re having a bad day and need to laugh at something stupid. Either of these should do the trick.

The first one is the iFart app. I found several news programs and late-night TV shows talking about this when it first came out. Jimmy Kimmel, Fox News and others. I have to give it up to the developer, he found some usefull ways to incorporate fart noises into the iPhone function which should carry-over nicely to the iFart iPad app. Just watch the video and you’ll see what I mean. My friend likes the “record your own” feature and the “sneak attack”. Oh by the way iFart is free.

The second one I found is called the Bubble Wrap app. Your screen is filled with the image of bubblewrap. You have to pop as many as you can before time runs out. It is addictive to say when you just want to waste time waiting for a friend or killing time at the airport, etc. With the iPads larger screen this free app will keep anyone entertained.
